Associate Professor (since 2009) at Department of Romanian Language and Literature and Comparative Literature. He researches, presents, lectures and publishes on modern European writers (F. Kafka, J. Joyce, Th. Mann, H. Hesse, A. Gide, V. Woolf, S. Beckett, L. Pirandello), on utopian literature (Th. Morus, F. Bacon, J. Swift, G. Orwell, A. Huxley), on literature and shame (J.M. Coetzee, W. Gombrowicz, P. Roth, Y. Mishima), and Introduction to Comparative Literature. Also, he teaches and coordinates workshops and seminars on Academic Writing, for the PhD. students from The Doctoral School of Philology Studies.
In 2007-2008, he teached Romanian Language and Literature at University of Konstanz, SLI (Sprachlehrinstitut).
PhD. in Comparative Literature, with a thesis, submitted in 2001, on "Literary Paradigms of Utopia".
Since 2012, Head of Research Department, Faculty of Letters.
